RIX Optics :: Storm S3R V2
Product Highlights
- Thermal Resolution (pixels): 384 × 288
- Pixel Pitch (µm): 12
- NETD (mK): <15
- Magnification (x): 3.5 to 14.4
- Integrated Laser Rangefinder: Up to 2,187 yards
The RIX STORM S3R V2 takes the compact STORM platform to the next level with improved thermal sensitivity, enhanced imaging, longer-range laser ranging, and onboard ballistic calculation. Built around a 384 × 288, 12µm thermal sensor with NETD <15mK sensitivity, the S3R V2 is designed to reveal finer thermal details and improve target recognition in low-contrast environments.
An integrated laser rangefinder provides fast, accurate ranging up to 2,187 yards. Combined with onboard ballistic calculation, the STORM S3R V2 provides trajectory data and aiming guidance directly through the scope to help reduce guesswork at longer distances.
The upgraded 0.49-inch Full HD OLED display features a 1920 × 1080 resolution for sharper detail, enhanced contrast, and a more comfortable viewing experience. Advanced AI image algorithms help produce smoother, clearer thermal imagery in darkness, rain, fog, and challenging field conditions.
Designed for real-world hunting use, the S3R V2 features an extended and elevated mounting rail for greater positioning flexibility, a repositioned LRF module for improved bolt clearance, and an ergonomic four-way control layout for easy operation. At only 6.4 inches long and 1.16 pounds, it remains compact enough to transition between use as a thermal riflescope and a handheld thermal monocular.
